Getting home late

- Bus — TIB buses to popular villages fill up in summer; board at the Estació Intermodal for the best chance of a seat.
- Taxi — Taxis are easy to find at ranks in the centre and at the airport, but queues can be long in peak summer.
Late-night bites
- Sobrassada — Market stalls at the Mercat de l'Olivar and delicatessens in the old town.
- Coca de trempó — Bakeries across Palma, especially in summer.
Staying safe at night
Pickpocketing occurs around the cathedral, on crowded buses and on beaches, and distraction thefts target tourists on the Platja de Palma, so keep valuables close. In summer, protect yourself from the sun and watch for flag warnings at beaches with strong currents.
