What we collect
If you just browse or search
- Search details you submit — places, dates, number of travelers and cabin — so we can open your search on our results page. We don’t attach your identity to them.
- Product analytics — anonymous events such as “search started” or “page viewed”, the page type, device class and approximate country where our hosting provides it. We don’t use analytics cookies or persistent identifiers, and we don’t store your IP address or browser fingerprint with these events.
- Security logs — short-lived technical logs used to keep the service secure and working (for example, rate limiting).
If you create an account
- Your email address, used to sign you in with one-time codes (we never store passwords).
- What you choose to save: display name, home airports, currency and language preferences, saved routes and places, trips and notes.
- Your notification choices. Marketing emails are off unless you turn them on.
- Security events on your account, such as sign-ins and deletion requests.
We don’t ask for passport, payment or other sensitive information.
How we use it
- To provide search, saved items, trips and preferences you ask for.
- To keep accounts and the service secure and prevent abuse.
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages and tools are useful.
- To send messages you’ve opted into, and essential account or security messages.
When you leave AMZBooking
When you open live results on search.amzbooking.com or click through to a travel provider, those services are operated by our partner Travelpayouts and by the providers themselves. They process data under their own privacy policies and may set their own cookies. We never send them your AMZBooking account details or sign-in session. Partner links carry an anonymous code describing which AMZBooking page you came from (see how we make money).
Service providers
We use carefully chosen providers to host the site, run sign-in and our database, and send account emails. They may only process data on our instructions. A current list is available on request via our contact page.
Retention
- Account data: kept while your account is active; deleted when you delete your account.
- Anonymous analytics events: kept in aggregate for product measurement.
- Security logs: kept for a limited period, then deleted.
Your choices and rights
Signed in, you can download your data, change your preferences and delete your account at any time from your account page. Depending on where you live you may also have rights to access, correct, restrict or object to processing, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise them.
AMZBooking is not directed at children under 16 and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
