About Dalt Vila
Ibiza's walled old town crowns the hill above the harbour, enclosed by 16th-century Renaissance fortifications with seven bastions. Enter through the Portal de ses Taules, flanked by Roman statues, and climb the cobbled lanes past whitewashed houses and small squares to the cathedral at the top, with views over the port, Formentera and the salt flats.
Tip: Walk up in the morning or at sunset to avoid the midday heat, and follow the walls around the bastions for the best views.
