Day by day

  1. Day 1: Dalt Vila and Ibiza Cathedral

Dalt Vila, Ibiza Cathedral and Puig des Molins, then Sant Antoni Sunset Strip in the evening.

    1. Morning

      Dalt Vila

Ibiza's walled old town crowns the hill above the harbour, enclosed by 16th-century Renaissance fortifications with seven bastions.

    2. Late morning

      Ibiza Cathedral

Visit at the end of your walk up through Dalt Vila and then follow the walls back down.

    3. Lunch

      Lunch: Bullit de peix

Seafood restaurants on the coast, especially in fishing coves; often ordered a day ahead.

    4. Afternoon

      Puig des Molins

On a hillside just outside Dalt Vila, this Phoenician and Punic necropolis is one of the best preserved in the Mediterranean, with thousands of tombs cut into the rock.

    5. Evening

      Sant Antoni Sunset Strip

Arrive an hour before sunset for a seat, or sit on the rocks between bars for free.

  2. Day 2: Es Vedrà and Cala d'Hort and Torre des Savinar

Es Vedrà and Cala d'Hort, Torre des Savinar and Atlantis (Sa Pedrera), then Ibiza's superclubs in the evening.

    1. Morning

      Es Vedrà and Cala d'Hort

Arrive at Cala d'Hort in the late afternoon for a swim and stay for the sunset behind Es Vedrà; parking is limited, so come early.

    2. Late morning

      Torre des Savinar

An 18th-century watchtower, also called the Pirate Tower, built to warn of raids, stands on the cliffs above Es Vedrà.

    3. Lunch

      Lunch: Sofrit pagès

Traditional restaurants in inland villages such as Sant Josep, Sant Joan and Santa Gertrudis.

    4. Afternoon

      Atlantis (Sa Pedrera)

Only attempt it with good shoes and plenty of water, never in the heat of the day, and allow about an hour each way.

    5. Evening

      Ibiza's superclubs

Check each club's weekly line-up, buy tickets online in advance and plan transport home, as taxis are scarce at closing time.

  3. Day 3: Cala Comte and Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta

Cala Comte, Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta and Cala Bassa, then La Marina and Sa Penya in the evening.

    1. Morning

      Cala Comte

A series of small sandy and rocky coves on the west coast with shallow, strikingly turquoise water and low islets offshore.

    2. Late morning

      Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta

In high summer, car access and parking have been restricted; walk or take a bus or boat from Sant Antoni and arrive early.

    3. Lunch

      Lunch: Ensalada payesa

Traditional restaurants across the island and on Formentera.

    4. Afternoon

      Cala Bassa

A sheltered sandy bay ringed by juniper and pine trees on the west coast, with calm, shallow, turquoise water and a beach club.

    5. Evening

      La Marina and Sa Penya

Come in the early evening to browse the shops, then have dinner and watch the club parades and crowds pass by.

Before you go

  • Ibiza's superclubs: Popular nights sell out or cost much more at the door; buy tickets from the clubs' official websites ahead of time.

If it rains

  • Swap in Museum of Contemporary Art (MACE) (Ibiza Town): A cool stop on a hot afternoon in Dalt Vila; combine with the cathedral.
  • Swap in Cova de Can Marçà (North coast): Combine it with a swim at Port de Sant Miquel or Benirràs nearby.

Where to stay for this itinerary

With 3 nights, Ibiza Town keeps most of this route within easy reach. For a calmer or cheaper base, Talamanca and Marina Botafoch ($$$$) suits families, luxury, quiet stays and beach. Compare every area.

Pace and daylight

The sights in this plan add up to roughly 24–32 hours of visiting over 3 days, before meals and getting between them. Daylight runs from about 9.4 hours in December to 14.9 hours in June, so in winter start early and keep museums for the afternoon.
