Romantic day trips

  • North and Middle Caicos (About 30 minutes by ferry, then driving) — North Caicos has Flamingo Pond, the Wades Green plantation ruins and quiet beaches; a causeway leads to Middle Caicos, with the Conch Bar Caves and the cliffs and lagoon at Mudjin Harbour.
  • Salt Cay (About 45 minutes by air, or flight to Grand Turk then ferry) — A tiny island of old salt ponds, windmills, donkeys and a few hundred residents, known for whale-watching trips from about January to April.

For dinner

Share local specialities such as Conch salad, Cracked conch and Spiny lobster. Ask whether lobster and conch are in season and sustainably sourced.
