Quick answer
Providenciales is spread out and has no public bus network, so visitors rely on taxis, rental cars, bikes in Grace Bay and boats. Ferries and short domestic flights link Provo with North Caicos, Grand Turk and the other islands. Recommended for anyone staying outside Grace Bay or wanting to explore the island's southwest beaches.

Ways to get around
Car
Renting a car is the most flexible way to reach Chalk Sound, Taylor Bay, Long Bay and Blue Hills; driving is on the left, though many cars are left-hand drive.
Take roundabouts slowly and watch for speed bumps on main roads.
Taxi
Taxis are unmetered, with fares charged per person on set rates; they wait at the airport and resorts but can be slow to arrive elsewhere.
Confirm the per-person fare before the trip.
Walking
Within Grace Bay, many restaurants, shops and the beach are walkable along Grace Bay Road and the beach itself.
Cycling
Resorts and rental shops offer bikes, and Grace Bay's flat roads are easy to cycle, though traffic can be fast on main roads.
Ferry
A passenger ferry runs from Walkin Marina at Leeward to North Caicos in about 30 minutes, connecting with rental cars for North and Middle Caicos.
Boat
Snorkel and island-hopping boat tours leave from Leeward, Turtle Cove and Heaving Down Rock for Iguana Island, the cays and dive sites.
From the airport
Providenciales International Airport (PLS) handles most international flights and is about 15–20 minutes by taxi from Grace Bay. JAGS McCartney International Airport (GDT) on Grand Turk serves domestic and regional flights, about 35 minutes from Provo by air.
