Ad Diriyah

On the north-western edge of the city, Diriyah combines the At-Turaif World Heritage Site, Bujairi Terrace's restaurants and the farms and palm groves of Wadi Hanifa. A growing number of upscale hotels make it a calm base for couples, with the city centre about 20–30 minutes away by car.

  • Edge of the World (Jebel Fihrayn) (About 2 hours by car, including an off-road track) — North-west of the city, the Tuwaiq escarpment ends in sheer cliffs that drop hundreds of metres to an ancient desert plain.

For dinner

Share local specialities such as Kabsa, Mandi and Jareesh. Ask for 'Najdi' dishes by name, as many restaurants focus on kabsa and grills.
