Beach-weather months
Days of 24°C (75°F) or more with no more than nine rainy days come in January–December. The busiest of those is January, so book early.
Beach safety
Muscat is generally calm for visitors; check your own government's travel advice before travel. The main risks are heat and sun, flash floods in wadis after rain (never enter a wadi when storms are forecast), strong currents at some open beaches, and fast highway driving. Swim at lifeguarded beaches where possible and follow local flag warnings.
