Beach-weather months
Days of 24°C (75°F) or more with no more than nine rainy days come in May–December. The busiest of those is December, so book early.
Beach safety
Swim inside the lagoon and away from reef passes, where currents can be strong, and never swim off the unprotected south coast. Wear reef shoes against stonefish and urchins, and do not leave valuables on beaches or visible in parked cars. Swim at lifeguarded beaches where possible and follow local flag warnings.
