Getting to the beaches
- Bus — Jeddah's public bus network covers main roads across the city, including routes to Al-Balad, but services are slower than ride-hailing and better suited to patient travellers.
- Train — The Haramain High Speed Railway runs from Jeddah's Al Sulimaniyah station and the airport station north to King Abdullah Economic City and Madinah.
Beach-weather months
Days of 24°C (75°F) or more with no more than nine rainy days come in January–December. None of them is peak season, so beaches stay manageable.
Beach safety
The main risks are heat and humidity, fast traffic and occasional strong currents on unsupervised beaches. Drink plenty of water, cross roads at signals and swim where lifeguards are present. Swim at lifeguarded beaches where possible and follow local flag warnings.
