Day by day

  1. Day 1: Haeundae Beach and Haeundae Blueline Park

Haeundae Beach, Haeundae Blueline Park, Dongbaek Island and Spa Land Centum City, then Gwangalli Beach and Gwangan Bridge in the evening.

    1. Morning

      Haeundae Beach

In summer it fills with parasols and swimmers; in other seasons locals walk the promenade, and the beach hosts a sand festival in spring and a polar bear swim in winter.

    2. Late morning

      Haeundae Blueline Park

A disused coastal railway between Mipo and Songjeong has been turned into a seaside park with two rides: a slow Beach Train along the old line and small pod-shaped Sky Capsules on an elevated track above it, passing Cheongsapo and its lighthouses.

    3. Lunch

      Lunch: Pork and rice soup

The gukbap alley in Seomyeon and long-running shops near Busan Station and Busan National University.

    4. Afternoon

      Dongbaek Island

A small wooded headland at the western end of Haeundae Beach, with a coastal walking path, the Nurimaru APEC House built for the 2005 APEC summit, and views over Gwangan Bridge and Marine City.

    5. Late afternoon

      Spa Land Centum City

A large jjimjilbang bathhouse inside the Shinsegae Centum City department store, using natural hot-spring water, with separate bathing floors and themed sauna rooms shared in provided clothing.

    6. Evening

      Gwangalli Beach and Gwangan Bridge

Watch the bridge lights from the sand or a rooftop café after dark, and check the city's tourism site for drone-show nights.

  2. Day 2: Gamcheon Culture Village and Haedong Yonggungsa

Gamcheon Culture Village, Haedong Yonggungsa, Jagalchi Fish Market and Taejongdae, then Yongdusan Park and Busan Tower in the evening.

    1. Morning

      Gamcheon Culture Village

A trail map leads through stairways and lookouts, including the much-photographed Little Prince statue.

    2. Late morning

      Haedong Yonggungsa

Founded in 1376 and rebuilt in the 20th century, it is reached by a stairway lined with stone lanterns, and its golden Buddha statues face the waves.

    3. Lunch

      Lunch: Wheat cold noodles

Milmyeon specialists across the city, especially around Gaya and Seomyeon.

    4. Afternoon

      Jagalchi Fish Market

In the main building, you buy seafood on the ground floor and restaurants upstairs prepare it for a fee.

    5. Late afternoon

      Taejongdae

The Danubi road train loops the park, and paths lead down to the rocky shore.

    6. Evening

      Yongdusan Park and Busan Tower

Go up at dusk, then walk down into Gwangbok-ro for dinner and BIFF Square snacks.

Pace and daylight

The sights in this plan add up to roughly 18–21 hours of visiting over 2 days, before meals and getting between them. Daylight runs from about 9.8 hours in December to 14.5 hours in June, so in winter start early and keep museums for the afternoon.

Getting between stops: Metro. Line 1 runs through Nampo-dong, Busan Station and Seomyeon, and line 2 runs from Seomyeon to Gwangalli and Haeundae.
