Quick answer
Shopping in Tulum centres on boutique fashion, homeware and crafts along the beach road and Mexican handicrafts in town. Prices on the beach road are high; the town is better for everyday purchases and souvenirs. Best souvenirs: Hammocks, Xtabentún and mezcal and Embroidered huipiles.

Food and drink to take home
Edible souvenirs travel best when they are dry or sealed: consider Marquesitas, Agua fresca and chaya juice and Xtabentún. Carts around the town park and along Avenida Tulum in the evening. Check your home country's rules on bringing food and drink back.
