Beachfront and HaYarkon Street
Most of Tel Aviv's large hotels line HaYarkon Street and Herbert Samuel promenade, directly above the beaches. Rooms with sea views, pools and breakfast buffets make it the easiest choice for families and beach-focused trips, and Ben Yehuda and Dizengoff streets are one block inland for restaurants and supermarkets.
- Good
- Beach on the doorstep; Large hotels with pools and family rooms; Sunset views over the sea
- Watch out
- Hotel strip lacks neighbourhood character; Among the highest room rates in the city
- Nearby
- Gordon Beach, Frishman Beach, Hilton Beach, Tel Aviv Promenade
Getting to the beaches
- Tram — The Red Line light rail runs from Petah Tikva through central Tel Aviv, with underground stations such as Carlebach and Allenby, and above ground through Jaffa to Bat Yam.
- Bus — City buses reach every neighbourhood; pay with a Rav-Kav card or a supported payment app rather than cash.
- Train — Israel Railways' four city stations — University, Savidor Center, HaShalom and HaHagana — connect with Ben Gurion Airport, Jerusalem, Haifa and the coast.
Beach-weather months
Days of 24°C (75°F) or more with no more than nine rainy days come in May–November. The busiest of those is June, so book early.
Beach safety
Check your own government's travel advice before and during your trip, as the regional security situation can change, and follow instructions from local authorities. Day to day, watch for fast e-scooters on pavements, rip currents at unguarded beaches and summer heat. Swim at lifeguarded beaches where possible and follow local flag warnings.
