Taxi

Taxis gather at ranks near the Jardín and the market.
Ride-hailing
Ride-hailing apps operate in San Miguel, but availability is lower than in big cities; taxis are often quicker.
Bus
First-class coaches leave from the bus station west of the centre for Guanajuato, Querétaro, León and Mexico City, while local buses run to Atotonilco and Dolores Hidalgo.
From the airport
The nearest airports are Bajío International (BJX) near León, about 1.5 hours away, and Querétaro International (QRO), about 1–1.25 hours away; Mexico City is around 3.5–4 hours by road. Shared shuttles and private transfers run from all three and should be booked ahead.
Do you need a car?
