About El Arco at Land's End
The granite arch at the final point of the Baja peninsula is Cabo's defining image, standing in the sea where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific. It can only be seen up close from the water, and at very low tides a strip of sand sometimes appears beneath it. The rocks around it shelter a sea lion colony.
Tip: Go in the early morning when the light falls on the arch from the east and the bay is calmest, before the tour boats crowd the channel.
