Fare details
The Q70 is free. LIRR from Woodside to Penn Station or Grand Central costs $5.25 off-peak or $7.25 peak (weekday trains arriving at NYC terminals 6–10 a.m. or leaving them 4–8 p.m.). Accessibility

Taxi · NYC TLC-licensed yellow taxis (official taxi stand at each terminal)

Yellow taxi (metered)

Route
Terminal taxi stand (A: Level 1 arrivals curb; B: Level 2 arrivals curb; C: Level 1 arrivals curb) → Times Square / Theater District
How the time is measured
No official source states a taxi journey time from LGA to Midtown.
Fare
$30–$52 per vehicle
Fare details
$30–$52 is the Port Authority's estimate for Times Square/Theater District. It excludes tips, tolls and MTA congestion pricing. The TLC says LaGuardia trips pay the metered fare ($3.00 start, then $0.70 per 1/5 mile or per 60 seconds in slow traffic) plus: $5.00 LaGuardia surcharge, $2.00 airport access fee on pickups, $0.50 MTA State Surcharge, $1.00 Improvement Surcharge, $2.50 Congestion Surcharge (south of 96th St), $0.75 Congestion Relief Zone toll (south of and including 60th St), $2.50 rush hour (weekdays 4–8 p.m.) or $1.00 overnight (8 p.m.–6 a.m.), and tolls and tip. It is unclear which of these the Port Authority estimate includes. The Port Authority's LaGuardia page lists older amounts ($1.00 peak, $0.50 overnight) that conflict with the TLC. One fare covers all passengers to the same destination.
Luggage
The TLC says there is no charge for luggage or bags.
Accessibility
Request a wheelchair-accessible taxi through the Accessible Dispatch program (call +1 646-599-9999, text +1 646-400-0789) or the Curb or Arro apps. It costs the same as a regular taxi.
Good to know
Limit of 4 passengers (5 in a minivan). Taxis cannot be e-hailed at the airport. Use only the official taxi stand and check that the taxi shows a TLC licence and has a working meter.
