Corong-Corong
About 2 km south of El Nido Town by tricycle, Corong-Corong faces west across Bacuit Bay, so it gets the sunsets the town beach misses. It has mid-range resorts, cafés and beach bars on the road down to Las Cabanas Beach, and many island-hopping boats also pick up here.
- Good
- Sunset views over the bay; Quieter than town; Close to Las Cabanas
- Watch out
- Tricycle needed for town; Narrow beach at high tide
- Nearby
- Las Cabanas Beach, Marimegmeg Beach, El Nido Town
Romantic day trips
- Malcapuya and Banana Island (About 1.5 hours by boat) — A popular full-day boat tour from Coron to islands with white-sand beaches and shallow reefs: Malcapuya, Banana Island and Bulog Dos sandbar.
- Long Beach, San Vicente (About 1 hour by van or scooter) — About 14 km of almost empty beach with clear water on the west coast.
For dinner
Share local specialities such as Chao long, Kinilaw and Crocodile sisig. Many small restaurants and tour operators are cash-only, and ATMs in El Nido and Port Barton can run out.
